I am holding conversations about my work in the upper gallery at the Michaelis Galleries, Hiddingh Campus, University of Cape Town until the 20th May. Through various digital and physical prompts for conversation, I intend to gather material towards a publication on my practice as visual artist and educator.

The idea to make a book came from experiencing the return of certain ideas and ways of working from much earlier work that I created in the 1990s. To take this process into the gallery space seemed a natural evolution due to the performative nature and process driven nature of my work. The idea emerged from a series of preliminary conversations that I held with studio-mates, Josh Ginsburg, Kyle Morland, Christian Nerf, Kathryn Smith and Jared Ginsburg at Atlantic Studios, Cape Town in 2015.
