engraving from rear projection

For data capture_DURER’S RHINOCEROS I entered Durer’s Rhinoceros into Google Image Search and worked with the process of re-uploading the closest matched image back into the search twenty four times. The resulting twenty-four digital images of Durer’s print (all in slightly different states, resolutions and sources) are then animated together at 24 frames per second. That animation is rear projected onto the perspex and I attempt to capture the fleeting fast animation looped by engraving using a high-speed electric engraver. The result is inked up and printed intaglio on cotton paper. The twenty-four urls of each digital image source are written below the print as title.
